In 2008, two teenaged cousins decided to start a small poultry business. They were motivated by both entrepreneurship and the thrill of having spending money for summers. Growing up in rural St. Ann, they chopped wood, asked masons and carpenters for nails, mesh and cinderblock, and persuaded their grandmonther to build a chicken coop on her small plot of land. Everything fell into place.

Once all the tools and resources were collected, those two teens built a coop in the same summer. Not perfect, but just right enough to fill it with chicken and start a business. Over the years, the boys continued to develop both the chicken coop and their business. It was like building a house. They built the first story and then expanded to a second. They began raising rabbits, but, eventually, as word grew that they were selling chickens, the young boys stuck with poultry.

Between 2008 and 2016, the boys, now men, mostly focused on communal business enterprises, servicing recurring customers such as shops and event planners. Nick migrated and Javid took on most of the business dealings. Javid expanded the business by raising pigs and eventually selling pork. He also expanded the chicken coop by adding a second location. He saw the potential of growing the business from a neighborhood enterprise to one that serviced numerouse customers across St. Ann, concentrating on the North Coast. As this new strategy began to prove successful, he pitched the growth opportunities to Nick. After deliberation, Nick was back onboard, and the boys were fully locked in.
